Tony,
Well done mate in another Workshop Day at yours  top man for giving up your time and knowledge.

Reading Stylers list of jobs that were carried out, it looks like you had a pretty full day

Missed it again! Got ready to go, Hob Nobs check, few spares check, fule in the tank check, sat nav programed check (looked at a map really its only 25 odd miles away) Bike out of garage check. Start bike check............

Turned round to shut garage bike coffed & stalled, would the wombles restart, would it wombles! :redface :( :( Ended up with the batt running flat so gave up & put it on charge.

Will try it again this morn & see if it will co operate.

Im thinking it was just throwing a hisssy at the thought of having to be in the company of all them slower coloured bikes. :D

Gutted to have missed he day, anoyed that the bike let me down, paranoid that this is the start of loads of aggro with it.

Check the sales & wants for a pack of unopened Hob Nobs.

looks like the cooler's gone, or the left hand pipe that fastens to it.
so if anyone's got a spare i'd be gratefull of a pm!
One side's empty, up for sale (nothing to do with me, bloody garden grabbing developer), the other side's fine, little old lady, and I keep her hedges trimmed so she puts up with it.

I (surprise surprise, say the boyos from the W/S day ) have a spare oil cooler and pipes, a bit battered but the fins can be straightened I would have thought.

I'll PM you some pix, let me know which bits you want before I post off your link pipe and I'll add them to the parcel.

(No, I haven't got a spare engine I can let you have )

thanks for your hospitality at the weekend tony, and Baz for the tensioners, I had a pretty good day bar the sunburn.

sure I will see some of you again on a ride out or another workshop.

and once again tony I would like to apologise if parking my bike on your drive had any negative impact on the value of your property.

Thanks for all the kind comments.

I enjoyed myself (mostly watching people's faces as I started their bikes after changing the CCT's-LOL).
But we achieved a lot between us, and hopefully we ended up with satisfied owners.

It was a laugh, and good to meet you all.

Now it's time for someone else to do the same thing- consider the gauntlet thrown down.
if it helps I'll happily travel to anywhere within four hours riding to lend a hand if I'm invited, and can bring tools etc.

It would be good to get other groups started up, not everyone can get to Kent easily!

Particular thanks to Bazza for making and bringing tensioners, and Jonesy for bringing a bunch of reg/recs but ending up bleeding and rebuilding front brakes, then fitting an exhaust properly for one owner.

Couldn't have done that much without you, appreciated.

And we've firmed up the mobile Dyno for the summer meetup, if we can get permission, which will be a major coup if we can bring it off!

Go on then- who's next to host one?

looks like it's just the rocker gasket rubber thingio that was leaking, spraying oil out from the round cam end bit.
bladdered it in instant gasket and fitted it proper - was kinked inside the cover at the back. seems ok now tbh but cheers for the kind offer.
i'll let you know if it still leaks when it's had a good thrash

Yep, been there, done that.
It's easy to catch one of the half-moon rubber bits and leave a gap for oil to pour out.

You'll be more careful next time

Anyway, easy and cheap fix in the end, which is always a result.
