Yeh that's right Chris. I've upgraded to twin 100/130 watt bulbs so thought I better do something about the power they get to allow them to work properly
Safe to say they warm the glass on the headlights now lol

I've also been busy with an angle grinder today. I would love to explain how I did it but it involved lots of measuring, chopping, drilling and bolting.

Sorry the pics are in the dark but by the time I'd stopped to get some it was a bit late lol (the new neighbours love me!!)

I've gone from this...

Using this

Yamaha R6 5SL aluminium subframe 8)

It is still work in progress but here are some pics as to what I've had to do to get it on, a picture speaks a thousand words and all that

As it's work in progress, I've still gotta dress it all up. Cut some more of the subfame back nearest the tank so it looks a bit better than just a straight cut and then give it a good clean and rub down and either a spray with satin black or take it to the PC's to get it coated gloss black. Properly happy with the way it's turned out...and the only problems I think I may run into are having to put the low Micron GP style can on  (neighbours will have to get used to the noise) and how I am going to fit the rear lights and plate holder :confused I'm sure all of that will be a piece of piss compared to what I've been through to get the frame and plastics on though

After seeing how the rear end is looking I'm currently thinking it was bad

........however, I will install it and see how it looks. If it isnt what I'm looking for then I'll get an R6 LED tail light and install that instead

I see why you wanted the bigger battery now  Two 100/130 watt bulbs are going to need some feeding, compared to standard 55/60 watt jobbie :eh:

The Yam tail unit is looking good, keep up the good work

Chris - I was also working on the lines that I may in the future want to add other accessories that may require extra power. The lights are chuffing bright though lol

Marty - lol all good my friend, worst comes to the worst my mate will use it for his cafe racer he will soon be building

Quick update pic 8)

Left to do...
Mount the new battery and fit new battery lines, rewire the headlights, put in tall stack, replace bolts on subframe with new ones (used the old ones and "spares" to trial mount), decide which exhaust I'm gonna use and tidy/replace where needed, get it running so I can adjust MCCTs, mount the rear lights and make quick change wiring harness, fit the new plate (7" x 5" oooops lol) and give it a service.

Not much then

Not sure if I wanna change the headlight and front fairing...now my mate has a Speed Triple I don't want it to look like I copied him lol I think the one I'm leaning towards is something like this...

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/320645289912? ... 513wt_1270

Just dunno if it'll suit it, I'm a bit torn really :confused

Step away from the computer and do not touch the BIN button!! I think that would cheapen the look of the bike mate. Stick with what you have or go for something converted from another bike, but don't go for the aftermarket tat look. The bike is too nice for that.

as kev said, before you know it you will be thinking of one of these god awful things

the bikes looking sweet, the rear end really suits it, imho the triumph lights/screen look great, don't change them.....

That's wot my mate said but he would do seeing as though he has a Triple anyway lol

I quite like the Suzuki B-King front light...not sure it would be angular enough to match the rest of the bike :problem:

Bikes looking sweet, I love that pearlecent white colour. As for the headlight I have no idea, but I do agree with kev and not to cheapen it with those universal things. That Suzuki one looks kinda interesting. I do like the one Marty posted though, cameras as well. wombles awesome.

Keep up the good work
