My head hurts.....lots......
Right, I can get anyone from the petrol station and/or the 'pyramid' to Glossop and the A57 Snake Pass with ease, i'm not familiar with the Ladybower Inn, I do know the Snake Pass inn though. I thought we were hooking up at the Derwent water visitors centre, left off the Snake just before the dam/bamford junction. I'll recalibrate meself and head for the Ladybower inn and we can head out from there. Graeme's route looks doody, so we can do that.
I reckon from Cheadle/Stockport it'll take about 45 minutes to get to the Ladybower Inn over the snake, tops. If we arrange to meet at 9.00am and leave no later than 9.30, we'll make good time and be there before 10.30am. We can go on from there.
If the pyramid is a more obvious spot, we can meet there. Theres a petrol station just round the corner we can go to. If we meet there, can we pull onto the car park in front of it? Off the motorway onto the roundabout, head towards the pyramid and take the VERY first junction right. If you turn right at the Audi garage 50yds on, you've gone too far!
I'll be there at 9am!!

this is reading more like 'hide n seek' than a meet

why don't we just make do with a conference call and pocket the petrol money?

Hey guys,
meet wherever you're comfortable with finding - the Pyramid was only a suggestion - that's why I did the route from Sainsburys at Cheadle so's you could still meet there and get to Ladybower. I don't think they're that far apart anyway
If you look Ladybower Inn up on Google Earth, don't believe it, some Richard has marked it as the wrong building a few hundred yards closer to the Snake than it actually is.
This is 100% bona fide where it is:
So you come down Snake Pass, over Ladybower Res, just passed the Bamford turning (right), the Ladybower Inn is on your left.
As for the nice bacon butties ...
As people have got to get back home for various and sundry, and considering we've still to get down to Matlock Bath to meet the rest of the gang and have a ride to the Cat & Fiddle, Snake etc (BikerMike's routes cos I don't know the roads) I'd reckon the earlier the better for meeting at Ladybower.
If Lee's right with his timings from Wooley and 'we' set off from there @ 08:30, then we should be at Ladybower around 10:00 depending whether we stop at Snake cafe for a butty, or save ourselves for either Ladybower (food won't be served there till 12:00 according to their website) or eat when we get to Matlock.
If we eat at Ladybower then time will be getting on. Think only reason we ate there last year was due to the unscheduled delay on the Torside Rd
What time are the Midlanders (& Lincoln) contingent intending arriving at Fishponds?
Never having been there I don't know what the food is like or what availability there is for burgers, fish'n'chips etc.

though bizarrely, 'broad' is acceptable - even mildly complimentary
