Well I voted for the Cat & Matlock, merely because it's the most Central . Southerly venue listed.
The Scottish borders would be good, but maybe too inhibitive distance wise for the midlands?
By the same token though Matlock is also going to be a long trek from Ayrshire et al
What about Squiffers and the 'real' Sotherners?
Don't think for 1 day we'd be able to get a perfect venue for all.
There's a few of the others I've not done yet, perhaps we could as mentioned, do a weekend and pick up more people that way?
I'm pretty easy really (it's been said) will go with the flow. IMO Devils Bridge is OK as long as the A65 is avoided, to much traffic, too many rozzers and too many to55ers who think they're Stoooner!

Rossi, really messes with your mind!!!!! Muaahahahaha

Why one meet up that is nigh on impossible to please all stormers with a titchy tank range
Why not a Southern - Middle - Northern - Western - Eastern - Scottish event all on the same day?

Just around the corner from me is a travel lodge.
http://www.travelodge.co.uk/search_and_ ... hotel_id=2 I've not looked but theres something about rooms for £19 if you book early. Double up make's a cheap weekend.
Very close to all the top rides around Derby's.
Lot's of pub's that sell beer.
Curry shop's, kebab's chippy,Weatherspoon's
Pub up the road could be persuaded to put a band on Saturday night.
Just an idea.
I HATE IT WHEN I HAVE TO PUT IT AWAY........

I'd be well up for a day's blat on the Sunday (21st) out of the Cat! Theres a McD's in Macclesfield which would suit as a muster point - and an awesome cafe in Buxton FULL of hot chicks
serving (and I quote) the 'Buxton moderate breakfast' which is nigh on impossible to finish! Got a mate on an R1 who'd probably pop along (trying to convert him to twins). Rock on over to Matlock - Via Gellia road is as good as any, then off into Derbyshire?
Who's gonna come up with a route? Can we definately pin something to that weekend? Just checked with the Diary, she reckons thats about it for free weekends for me until Doomsday (Oct 25th)!

So the 21st Sept is THE date then?
Looks like it'd be better if there were 'regional' runs - I think this idea was proposed on the other meetup thread!
So, in the NW, would people like to do a loop via the Cat into Derbyshire (i'm in to dark territory that way!) or a loop up towards the Bridge/Glasson?
If the Bridge loop was taken, i'd propose meeting in Settle, rocking up to Hawes, Sedburgh, The Bridge, Glasson, Knot End.... you CAN start at Squires and whip out through Ilkley/Otley to the A59 and pick up the settle road at Skipton.
It depends on the weather, but if we can agree a 9am START point at least we can plan a loop from there!!!!

I'd be up for that, Settle is about 25 mins away for me.bikermike1411 wrote:If the Bridge loop was taken, i'd propose meeting in Settle, rocking up to Hawes, Sedburgh, The Bridge, Glasson, Knot End.... you CAN start at Squires and whip out through Ilkley/Otley to the A59 and pick up the settle road at Skipton.
