Wow 8O dont log in for a couple of hours and the thread is now an epic tale of ladybubblers and Beadles Pyramids
1 - Blue Pyramid Stockport - be there for 9, leaving at 9:30 at latest.

2 - Woolley Edge Services on the M1 - FSM, Deano, RedstormV

3 - Fishponds Car Park in Matlock - Be there for 12 for ride out to Cat, Snake Pass etc. (Beamish will be here at 11:30 ish)

Well I looked up 2 other sources of route info just in case MapSource was using an average speed of 60 or 80mph 8O

Multimap (Cheadle to Bamford via Glossop) 32.83 miles, about 1 hours 9 mins

AA Routeplanner (Cheadle to Bamford via Glossop - avoiding M-ways) 30.5 miles, 1 hour 2 mins

So by my reckoning Ladybower Inn 11:00 is well within reach - even get a stop off at Snake Cafe for a butty if anyone's peckish.

We (FSM etc) might even get to do the Snake twice and have a salad sandwich (no mayo) and a decaf tea or coffee with no sugar or milk or an ultra diet Pepsi - As Tim will have no doubt eaten all the pies, pasties, bacon, eggs, sausage and crisps etc

the words: 'Stones' & 'Glasshouses' spring to mind

So are East & West aiming to meet at Ladybower at 11:00 or set off for Matlock at 11:00 ?

Think QueensburyLad might be coming along too - he or I will confirm before the off.

*************************************************************

Mike, no matey, I lost all my numbers when I lost my phone on Dales run - haven't managed to replace yours yet

Tim, BikerMike I'll PM you me Moby, Pete already has it if he saved it other week but PM'd it again in case.

Might be an idea for Midlanders (Lincoln annexe) to have ours too and vice versa Jim PM'd you it again in case you've lost it.

Anyone else want my number just PM me.

Hokai.....

I'll be at the pyramid from 9am, head over the Snake and be at Ladybower Inn (I know it now, just never paid attention to it!) for 11. We can go on from there.

If the NE crew are going over the Snake, past the butty van, as we will, couldn't we all meet there for a brew? Otherwise, i'll not be stopping in the 30 miles or so between the pyramid and Ladybower Inn....some people might get peckish! Personally, i'm holding out for the chippy in Matlock Bath!

12:00 Matlock Bath - (Fishponds pub or carpark or whatever) for anyone travelling up from Saaaarf or across from Lincoln (Beamish)

11:00 or maybe earlier (  ) Ladybower Inn for anyone travelling down from North East or North West. That is unless we all (North) turn up at the Snake Cafe at about the same time, all accidental like.

The plan (for what it's worth) is then for us (North) to travel down via Bamford (I think) to meet the Saaaarf lot (including Beamish) at Matlock Bath.

Once we're all together, the fights have finished, wounds dressed and we're all loved up, we can probably manage to squeeze in a nice tour of the Peak District, taking in the Cat & Fiddle, Snake Pass, and some other nice bits of road with scenery thrown in for free. That's Mike's (BikerMike)department - I think :?

Bummer! Sorry Caz! I would say something sarky like 'get a cat', but ours cost us the best part of £600 last year.... bloody critters!

Ok, so we're all clear on that then? We can follow much of the route I posted recently, or Graeme's ammendment..... i'm not giving anyone a choice of end location, we haven't got time to debate it for the next four weeks! We'll end up the Cat. For now!

Can I point out that when we say we're meeting in 'Matlock', we're really meeting in Matlock Bath, which is about two miles further up the road. You'll not miss it, Steep cliff on one side with loads of bikes on the road, river on the other. Fishpond car park is at the upper end (with the cliff on the right and the river on the left), look for signs to the 'visitors information centre'.

Just a quick word to say I hope you all have a good, safe time at the weekend.
When you are at Matlock bath can someone take a photo of the Buildings on the opposite side of the road from the car park you are meeting in. Just to see if the apartment that I stayed in 10 years ago is still there. It was above a shop with a cracking view down the prom/ street just down from a pub.
Yes I know I am sad  .
If I had the time and you were meeting a bit further North I would be there as well.

Hoping you get good weather.

Cheers and all the best

A.M.
