Can i surgest that you play around with the "replace colour" function, as thats pretty much what its designed for. Changing the hue etc is all good, providing its done on the new layer but you will never get a perfect match. Oftern you will find artifacts appearing (like the weird rainbow spots u can see in the pink one).
use the pen tool, go round the image very carefully. Once u have a path, make it a selection (feather of 2px) and then use the replace colour function and you will keep all shadows, midtones and highlights intact. (remmber to do this on a new layer).
or for sutble changes, fill the selection with a colour, then change the layers blend mode to overlay etc. In fact, theres a billion ways to do this lol....
