Well accroding to Julian, Toby, et al, the day time temperatures at this time of year are no where near as warm as some of the Italian races later in the season, so that's strike 1 for floodlights.

Apparently, according to the race engineers and tyre boffins, the track temperatures at Qatar for the 'night time' race are the lowest of any race in the MotoGP calendar, bar none!
Strike 2 for floodlit racing!

Can't be bothered remembering or typing a strike 3 4 or 5 but they're there....

I just hope Dorna or whoever's responsible sees sense in time for next year
That being the case Graeme, it makes one ask the question why the race is run at night :?: IMHO I would prefer a day time race to one run with floodlights anytime,

Let's hope it doesn't get as stupid as F1. Watch a race, wait a week for the "official" result. The FIA are totally biased towards Ferrari and if they don't change I'll cancel the order for the 430 Scuderia :lol:
