You decided on a colour scheme yet?
Gonna be a pearl white with black bits......

..............well it was going to be. After seeing yours today I've now decided that I cant wait to get it back on the road, so its gonna be pearl white and I'll have to wait until the next time its off the road to have the black bits sorted lol

Good to meet you today Dave....if any bits go missing off your bike...........PROVE IT.......I mean......it wasnt me.....honest........

I was allowed to go out and play with my bike again today and after speaking to Dave SP2 about exhausts etc We decided to do a bit of a swap......
I always wanted a single sided system and he wanted twins again....He's already got 4 kids...why would he want twins too? Crazy, anyway....

After a slight mishap with my chubby digits and the sat nav plus a 20 min (ish - Shush Dave) de-tour later, I turned up at his place and we did the deal - top man by the way....and his bike will look ALOT better than mine after he's pulled his finger out  and got it sorted!

Got home and after removing a rusted/snapped stud in the front head I managed to slap the bad boy on. I've decided to put the baffle in the can as Dave (well his misses actually) said that it was a bit too loud to use without - we'll see. It's only a 2 min job to undo and remove the baffle if I think my tinnitus ridden ears can handle it without anyway so no big problem

Here it is....

Image

Its not quite fitted to my liking yet, as I think I'm gonna have to get another link pipe made up so it comes up at more of an angle 8)

Also while I was at it, I swapped my spare bars out for the ones I'm going to use. Managed to get most of the wiring hidden behind the cowl and lights just need to make a cover for the sides and get the dangling left switchgear cables out the way.....

Image

When I was nearly finished for the day I turned round and found my 10 month old lad rifling through my tools working out which ones tasted better....

Apparently he likes the taste of a 17mm Hilka combi spanner, must teach him what they are really for :problem:

DAVE - She always spends too much at shopping. I remind her now and again, and its roughly the same kinda time that I get to play with my bike lol funny that...
Hmmmm, 2 bikes the same colour, one with better parts than the other. Not liking the sound of this. Executive decision says that you arent allowed white Dave, sorry. 8) Afterall, you havent actually laid any paint onto yours yet :D

Ps....on order is a 2ft suspension lift kit and mud wheels/tyres for my Megane, will have no problems with detours after that.

TIMBO - Yeh kinda looks that way, altho Dave does have a lot more skill and better parts on his than mine. I'm kinda happy to run it around looking a bit ratty this year. Will hit it hard when we have moved and I have somewhere to do things in the dry rather than out in the open air.

MIKE - Controversially, I quite like the look of the side mounted rads....I was looking at putting some kind of shoulder fairings on (Z1000 or SV style) just to make it look a bit more clean, but, now I'm so close to getting it back on the road. I think these Ideas will end up on the back burner until I can be arsed with not riding it again (say....November time)

Any other ideas are more than welcome...still have my braided clutch line to fit actually, looks like that will be next job on the to do list.

How about your accent colour instead of the white and use the white as the accent? 8)

U know it makes sense

was laying in bed last night thinking about it but that would be a bit OTT for the look i'm going for.

the idea of that colour is to add a little bit to the bike and yet be very suttle in the way it looks when finished!!

if i was building the ultimate street machine then it would be bright and bold but this is my road bike that's to be nice to ride and comfy for me and the misses to enjoy.

They do need a good polish to finish them off but I couldn't wait to get the pics on lol
Just need to sort out some graphics and wait for other parts to come back. Then it can all go on
Its not a true reflection of the colour because its not out in natural light, so will probably look a bit different when I take some pics of them on the bike
