I guess I need to have someone who knows these things ride with me and hear it. Either way, I'm doing the carbs, wallet be damned.

Gotta give her some TLC if I expect her to serve me faithfully :D

Don't pay some one else!

For the same money, you can buy the gauges and a new air filter, then follow the instructions the workshop section and get to known the bike as well. It is easy and you will start the voyage to the centre of the V :)

nice one chap... enjoy the ride... as for insurance i found that swift cover gave out the best prices for bike...

Bikesure refused to match a quote I received from Footman James. So now its down to £357 which will help pay for the repairs.
