The swingarm is thick enough to just be drilled and tapped, but one tip:
I'd suggest you use metric fine bolts, as there are more threads in contact with the metal of the arm, which will help it stay in place.

If you're going to fit crash protector bobbins, the mounting is even more important, as they'll need to resist the force of a crash as well as just being lifted with a stand.

To be sure a small round plate could be welded on before it was drilled.

The ones I have fitted are double hard mushrooms, as I have that make fitted elsewhere on the bike and they match.
It's not falling off, it's an upgrade opportunity.
