You can use it for a little game of enlarging the airbox.
Start by cutting out the corner filters, and the internal pipework, they can be placed outside the airbox by simply fitting a length of pipe to the cam box cover and route it to a small filter anywhere convenient, but not into the airbox.
Once you've cut the corners out, make up some patches (I used lengths of plastic drainpipe araldited in; in order to get it to mould just heat it with a paint stripper gun and mould it by hand using welding gloves).

This increases the airbox volume.

There are a few more ways you can increase the airbox size, chopping the lower "trough" sections from a donor box, and using them to deepen the ones on your airbox- same thing.
Also you can extend the rear edge a little, even the front section, under the snorkel.

Then give it a try, preferably with dyno evidence, to see if it's any better.
It's not falling off, it's an upgrade opportunity.

I'm happy to go "halvesies" if anyone see's an airbox and just wants the stacks - I want "just an airbox", to modify - but keep my original!

lol sorry about that  gutted theyve put a 30 limit on my racetrack now - it's always been a national :(

makes it easier working on a clean bike - and the cap came off easy which is always a bonus!
i take it you like the throttle mod then
next time you're round wel do the carb balance, tps, sprocket etc :)

dont forget the plugs & air filter - you'd be as well doing an oil & filter change too cos you can bet theyve not been done for a long time.
