you may want to look at getting a set of the new SKF fork seals for your bike. I know they make them as your forks are essentially the same (ie. KYB USD 43mm) as the ones I just mounted on my bike (from a 2005 ZX-10R). Not only are the SKFs supposed to be super durable (the dirt guys are reporting that they are the best thing since sliced bread, so to speak), but they are also made from a unique ultra-low friction material. They`re not cheap, but they come very highly recommended. (I had some installed on my ZX forks during the rebuild for the new springs and valving; the only freaky thing is that they are an odd greenish colour....)seb421 wrote:just don't rush it mate and you will get them cheapvtrjames wrote:aye mate, thats fine ill bear that in mind. i just wonder if i can get a set of r1 forks in the 929 yokes.i have bought the yokes but nothing else yet.
i think the r1 forks are the same 50/54mm but im unsure if the spacing is the same so that could bugger me up for using a r1 wheel and callipers
i do hope it will work with the r1 cos the parts are more available around here, but i don't want a front end full of spacers etc..
i think 929, 954 and CBR1000RR 04-07 all fit no problems
Best to stick with Honda mate,
both my dads blade (954) and my storm with a full 954 front end with 75k between them both was still on original fork seals
this GSXR 10000 K6 has less than 9k on the clock and the seal is weeping all ready! the engine is phenomenal but the rest of the bike is made of ferking cheese
cheers
