no disrespect shaggy but art are not a quality can manufaturer, they're not much more than a budget brand imho, if i was going down the carbon route, i'd be looking at akras, leo's, arrows and alike, and as i said, you need to watch that the packing doesn't go walkabout, because as soon as it does, the carbon will over heat and breakdown.....

Arrows are good, had a pair on my first firestorm, they have a gauze outside the baffle tube then baffle packing then the carbon sleeve, these are designed for a twin. Nearly burnt through the right hand one on the dyno after a few runs though, blackened it a bit underneath (out of sight) but caught it in time. not the cheapest but possibly the best looking Imo..

Welcome to the club mate. My carbon cans have given me no cause for complaint, Scorpions, and at the end of the day it's your choice. Enjoy the bike fella

there are a lot that will disagree with you on that one mate they may not be good on the v twin but on a il4 they are a good can mate

i'm sure they will shaggy, but when you compare them against the quality manufacturers they're not in the same league. if arrows.akra's are premier lge then art might just scrape into the championship........
its all down to personal opinion of course. if i wanted s/s cans i wouldn't have a problem running art cans, but i'd be very careful running art carbon cans on a big v-twin.
unless your very lucky, you get what you pay for.

isn't one of the reasons that cans will deteriote due to heat stress, and for heat stress you need speed, derived from power and you still have a blue bike Kev? Just wondering mate :D

yer i no what your saying arrow akra are a better can and art are a mid range but i my self wouldn't of expected a art can to split like it did on my bike i had a tl1000r with carbon cans on it with no problems

The rugby team thing doesn't bother me, i'm actually a Kiwi. Nobody (even a 4 nation team) stands a chance against the mighty All Blacks

Welcome

I wouldn't be surprised if this thread is turned into a 'sticky' for "choosing the right Carbob cans"

Cheers
