help wanted in birmingham
Re: help wanted in birmingham
+1 on what Lloyd said. That dip will be the famous K&N dip. Stick a Standard filter in and things will be a whole lot better, unless you want to spend Dyno time smoothing out things to work with the K&N to get a couple of bhp top end. You would most likely need a jet kit (adjustable needles) for that too.

good to meet you to mateAMCQ46 wrote:Rich, good to meet you.
Just for your records the jets in your bike were
Rear
Pilot Kehlin 48s
Main Kehlin 178
Air screw 1.8 turns
Front
Pilot Kehlin 48s
Main Kehlin 175
Air screw 2 turns
Carl will advise if these are stock, but I think
thanks for your time I really appreciate it
will put the stock air filter in tomorrow and take it for a spin
will let you know how I get on

Re: help wanted in birmingham
Be interested to see if if it is any better. Maybe worth a dyno run to see the fuelling line....or perhaps fit Hawks reccomendation jets

dyno run might just tell us whats needed to make it run as it shouldAMCQ46 wrote:Be interested to see if if it is any better. Maybe worth a dyno run to see the fuelling line....or perhaps fit Hawks reccomendation jets
Re: help wanted in birmingham
What exhaust are you running. You may just need to tweak the fuel mixture screws a bit, but a run on a dyno will tell you exactly what the A/F is doing.

Re: help wanted in birmingham
It's running stock jets and 48s so if it's still running a little flat check needle hight . The stock set up is set on the rich side that's why you can fit race cans without changing jets .AMCQ46 wrote:Be interested to see if if it is any better. Re: help wanted in birmingham
And as your on stick cans the mixture might be a little rich .
Get it over to kevs and stick it on the Dyno .
