I looked through the paperwork and the ccts were changed in 2003 at 14000 miles, it has now done 25000 miles and had the Honda ones fitted (so were they improved), is it likely that I am better off with the manual ones, they seem to be easy to fit if I can find the timing marks.

Fitting manual ccts is the best way to go. For £54.00 with postage & fitting instructions, it a lot cheaper than engine rebuilts.the autos can fail at any mileage.

You can have my instructions for nothing. Most of the instruction specific to this bike are from this forum anyway.

Adewhitmarsh, I have already sent you a PM (private message) about you promoting your manual CCT's on this forum which you seem to have ignored. If you continue to keep breaking rule 11 you leave us no choice but to take action as stated in rule 11.

Please do as I suggested and get your post count up to 50 posts, then place a link for your manual CCT's in it, in the Sales section. If you take the time to read rule 11 I think you can see we have been more than fair with you.

Rule 11
Due to abuse of the Sales and Wants section by some previous new members, it is now mandatory that you have 50 posts before you are allowed to post in that section of the forum. Anybody trying to get around this by posting sales in the wrong place will have their posts deleted, try it a second time and their account will be deleted automatically. No questions asked. Also, posting trivial posts just to reach the 50 will also result in your account being deleted.
