VTR1000F series run 9.4:1
XL is 9.0:1,
SP1 is 10.8:1
JE pistons for a VTR1000F 11.5:1

But it would also indicate the possibility of an XL owner fitting std Storm pistons as a small upgrade.....Probably simpler to just swap engines, though.
Going from 9.4:1 to JE's 11.5:1 with a 4 degree ignition advancer probably explains why mine pinks with a wide open throttle at low revs using 95 RON now, thinking about it.
