I would like to wish you all an enjoyable and safe time
My two pence worth
Make sure you know where you're going before you all set off and ride within YOUR OWN capabilities not someone else's

An exchange of mobile numbers is also a good idea before you set off.
Take care out there
Chris.

You were real lucky there mate! I've come across anal coppers too.... I got T-Boned bringing my old man's cbr1000f back from Shrewsbury a few years back - it wasn't my bike and I was riding it on my hornet policy ('any bike clause'). Thing is, i'd owned the hornet for about fortnight and couldn't remember the reg number so the cop could check I was insured. I was panicking because my dad's mint bike was lying on it's side and some stupid stuck up old cow in the two seater merc that had pulled out the junction was vocally expressing her innocence. At my third attempt at the registration number he came back and said 'that's a toyota celica.... i'm getting annoyed now.' I said I couldn't remember the reg for the policy - his reply? 'You'd better think fast or I may have to find something to arrest you for'.
My dad was a copper for 30 years - he reckoned I should have passed that one onto the police complaints authority. Not the sort of reaction you expect from someone trained to deal with difficult situations where people are upset!

coppers are assholes mostly...ive had loads of runin's....last year was stopped in car, due to having front fog lights on....just descended off woodhead in thick fog....stoipped me and started to write a ticket...i told her she's a f***ing little hitler..and that id contest it in court, due to severe nature of fog..200 yards back up hill...eventually she gave me notice to bring docs to cop shop...which i did and told the duty officer her attitude, and low and behold i was 3rd one in 5 mins she stopped on same road at similar time, and we all said same statement as regards weather etc....all 3 of us let off and she was repremanded..lmao..coppers ive sh1t better

Don't know if anyone saw a programe on bbc1 last night ,in the weekly tv mag it was called Motorway Cops ,in the daily rag it was called Sky Cops.
There's 2 Scottish coppers on it, they're twins ,they feature on it most weeks , they patrol down south, i think the M5 area, originally they are from here in Kilmarnock.
They lived next door to my workmate ,..he said "Nae wonder they made good cops, they were up to fkn everythin when they were younger ,they know every trick in the book "
Nowt serious , he said, just things like swapping their dads current road tax for their expired one, things like that
