Re: vfr tank
You will be doing well if it comes in at that price mate. That blue is a three stage paint, and takes a lot of work go get it looking right.

Re: vfr tank
Hummm. Would it be a good price for this code B-162m? It's what's under my seat. However the bikes had a respray so not sure if it was the original colour?Kev L wrote:You will be doing well if it comes in at that price mate. The bike is a 99 in a W plate :-)
Re: vfr tank
Check out what that paint colour is on here http://www.vtr1000.org/phpBB3/viewtopic ... aint+codes
It's more than likely the original colour.

Given that yours has had a respray mate, as evidenced by the wing decals, I reckon they have done it in the same colour as my bike, Candy Taihitian blue PB215C. Have a butchers at this -

Re: vfr tank
That is a very close match Kev, I hope he sticks to his quote then of £65-£70 if you say there's a lot of work involved!? :-(
Re: vfr tank
Thats exactly as I thought. And if you look closely at Scotts pics you can see that sort of washed cloudy candy look in the paint that you get with the Tahitan Blue.Given that yours has had a respray mate, as evidenced by the wing decals
