White/Black?
He's colourblind, surely?

Looks good, though., and the detail round the headlight centre section is attractive.

Definitely jealous of people with spraying facilities, and welding, too, come to that.
It's not falling off, it's an upgrade opportunity.

cybercarl wrote:Coming along nicely. The Crazing (craquelure) sounds to me like the paint has reacted with something. Did you apply too much at first by any chance rather than a light dust coat. Or maybe the room was colder than you thought as your not feeling too well. The colour looks nice. It's not an in your face Orange but a more subtle browny/Orange. Mmmm maybe that is just the lighting, yeh I'm liking the colour in the first pic with all the panels back on the bike, but the ones underneath look more Tango. I shall see what it's like when complete. Get well soon.

(:-})
It's a real odd one this Carl.. sat, thought and tried to work out where the 3 panels went wrong but because the other panels were fine every idea to the cause of the problem would be cancelled out by another panel which was ok... Can't be heat because all panels were painted and primed same time.. can't be temp for same reason although place was warm... I gave up trying to work it out

That was a good find mate.. gave me an idea of what I was gonna end up with

95% finished.. slow start today because I was fitting the fairing early hours this morn plus still full up with a cold etc.. If I wasn't excited about finishing the bike off i'd probably stay in bed today
Only a few bits to go on plus got to decide what i'm doing decals wise, will post a few more pics later today plus get some shots in the sunshine.. but for now.. here she is
Must add... strange colour.. first pic was taken outside as the sun was leaving us yesterday evening, second pic was late in my garage under fluorescent lighting... looking forward to seeing it in proper sun light :-)

Thanks for the comments :-) It is a bit of a chameleon, when I picked the colour I had no idea that it would alter so much under different lighting.

This is how it really looks

Looks amazing... what an improvement. Some orange rim tape around the wheels would look nice just to break up the starkness of the White. A very well done

Mmmmmmmmmmmmm I love chocolate orange :P

Been stuck offline for couple days thanks to pc playing up and being to busy to fix it. Bike coming along.. just been doing small jobs around it past few days. Given her a oil and filter change.. sorted out a water leak I had after moving one of the hose clips on the left rad, had to turn the clip because it was rubbing against the air duct inside the fairing... just my luck it then leaked.. nevermind, flushed out and fresh coolant. Removed stickers and polished up my silencers, did have blue anodised foot rests (still blue in pic) but thanks to a cordless drill and wire brush attachment they are now silver :P
I was guessing that my bike had been a stolen recovery in the past going by the state of my top yoke, looks like some one had patched it up in past rather than fit a new one... anyways, bought another off ebay for 8 squid plus del on monday evening, turned up yesterday and fitted today.. really nice condition plus has the honda badge in it too. Decided for a change though and painted it in satin black.
Have also just bought a rear hugger... carbon fibre, couple cracks in it but nothing to worry about, coming with mounting bracket. Will repair it and paint it to match bike... £20 inc del.. thought that was reasonable enough and suits me seeing how tight my budget is to spend on the bike.

Not sure if i'm going to put rim tape on.. not so fussed on the plain line around the rim... may look for some lettering eg- Honda VTR Racing.. to put on the rim edges. Another idea I had (seen this but dont remember where) Rim tape.. but its in 3 pieces each piece covering just under a third of the rim.. each part starts off solid then fades away.

And.. my wheels are already dirty  nevermind.. I like bright wheels so can put up with the extra cleaning.
