Scotland 2021 6th, 7th & 8th Aug
Re: Scotland 2021 6th, 7th & 8th Aug
Getting close now.
Spoke to hotel and all ok with 6 rooms booked for Friday and Saturday. 3 single occupancy 3 double occupancy.
There will be one camper in a tent for 3 nights and 4 camper vans.
For us van dwellers, we are asked to park away from the loch side rooms this time, so still on the grass, but closer to the slipway.
As usual I will stop on the way up and get some beers and I will bring the gas bbq for Friday night and we will have a meal at the hotel on Saturday.

only a few days to go
as per the whatsAPP message, I will stop at the shop and get BBQ stuff and a few beers for everybody, so we can chill on Friday night.

I will be in New Galloway over the weekend.I may call in to The Inn On The Lock on Friday or Saturday evening, but having no bike I will be in my tin box(if thats allowed). It will be good to catch up with those that I know.

depending on where the rain is going to be, this is one option for the saturday ride.
some new roads on this as I try and cut out the boring bits round Ayr
https://ridewithgps.com/routes/37001075.
if you download that as a gpx file and put it into your garmin GPS as a track it should work

From the 'ride with gps' page click 'send to device' then select 'more export options' and export the Google Earth.kml format.
Log into your google account then paste in the link
https://mymaps.google.com/
Once in mymaps an untitled map will launch and you can then import the .kml file from your computers download file which will overlay the route.
Click on the word 'untitled map' and change the name to whatever you want and save.
