Manx GP '08

Post by RedStormV »

Hi,

Got it booked

23rd August - 27th August.

Anyone who's fancied IOM and hasn't done it yet, Highly recommend the Manx.

If you like the old classics, then this is the one for you!!!! Manx Nortons, Velo's the lot! and at speeds you wouldn't think possible (not with those brakes!) 8O 8O

We'll be camping at Peel as usual and spending far too much money in The Creek - but what the heck, life's not a rehearsal!

Might get to watch some awesome racing too! 8) 8)

Anyone going, keep an eye out for Ivan Lintin - gonna kick some butt I hope! :P :P

Graeme.

Interesting point is they tried to ban the bike he was running one year as it was faster than the works teams of the day could get them to go 8O
Just got to love a good grease monkey

Thanks guys,

Me too - we blinking well should do - it's much more chilled than TT.

TBH if I had to choose between the 2 I'd plump for Manx every time.

The weather is usually more reliable for the Manx, but TBH that's only a minor consideration.

Dunno if the SRAD will make it there - having flooding probs with at least 1 carb! Needle valve issues methinks - oh well strip 'em again I suppose.

At least she's got the Hornet to fall back on, or even the RS125 if she ain't sold it by then.

Just counting the days now, a fortnight in Campbeltown chillin, a couple of days home, then off to IOM !!!! Yippeee :D :D :D :D
