I always thought it said more about the rider :(

that is not good. somewhat reminiscent of the A10 through Tottenham every morning. However its hard to tell whether the red car is overtaking something itself or has just barged the rider. If its the former then I have much less sympathy for the rider.

The bikes far too near the back of the car imo. Very poor postioning. With the way the seats driving I woulddnt want to be parked on his bumper. Its a bad overtake from the bike too. The car overtake is irratic. Poo driving/riding all the way round...

yeah scary stuff! Driver didn't use his mirrors - but as 60% never seem to the rider should have been a bit more cautious!

Sh*t happens and more so when your in a rush! 8O

And the plate is either Italian or Spanish (more likely as its a SEAT) and neither are known for their consideration and courtesy on the road :)
Its a terrible overtake. Jbrebel covered it.

Not to say that its not the car driver's fault, just the rider didn't do himself any favours.

+1

The rider should have been about another 20 feet back. IMHO

I agree with Clack :!:
It's a job to tell exactly from that clip (even though I've spent long enough studying it), but if I'm not mistaken it looks like the red car deliberately pulled out into the bikes path, as it doesn't look like there's a car right in front of the red one, only further ahead :!:

Mike,
I did see that too, but I hadn't thought that it might have been another bike which is a good theory. I thought it was too small for a car and may have been a shadow from something at the side of the road.

At 8 seconds the car moves to the left, if you look up the right hand side there's another car right in front of him. That's the shadow Mike mentions. Looks like a bloody stupid manoeuvre by both rider and driver as there's hardly and room in front of the car being overtaken.
Rich.

I think I would have to say it,s a combination of the 2 actually. But mostly the car driver . Biker for being so close and the car driver for not noticing the accident ahead until the last minute therefore braking, swerving and knocking the over taking biker off.
