Mice, word of warning!

Had a bit of mouse trouble lately but found it and dealt with it within what I thought was a week. Seems that the little bas*ard has been very busy during that time. He trashed a pair of my missus's walking boots, a pair of my cycling shoes and what I have just found out, some of the back end wiring on the Blade
The left indicator went out on the last ride out and I thought it was just the bulb, lifted the seat today to find mouse shi* and wire everywhere.
All sorted now so not a massive trauma but it could have been .
My advice is to keep an eye out for mouse sh1t in you sheds/garage etc and if you spot some, seek and destroy immediately.

Don't bother with mouse traps they are crap, use high consontrate poison always.

In the past few weeks ive had a problem with mice.....my cat bringing them in the house (twice),or trying to (every other day just now):!:
Sometimes its shrews,other times big fat field mice..more the size of a bloody hamster.
Was worse in summer when back door was left open in good weather.

Did have a prob a few years ago when a mouse got into a large bag containing xmas pressies(clothes),it/they chewed most items

Also ,i remember my dad saying that years ago he had one in his car for weeks, it kept getting into the glovebox,and it shredded all his green shield stamps (Dont ask--i think you got em free with fuel)

I had the same problem in the garage. It got through a Kreiga R20 expandable pack and made a home in my tank bag...tw@t!

Forgot Id left the humane mouse trap out for it until last week Put that out at the end of August, and needless to say, the offending mouse isnt with us any longer. Oooppps

No mouse problem here

Poisons are OK as long as kids and 'friendly' animals / critters ain't about.

In the absense of a cat a good way of resolving rodent issues is a mixture of mouse / rat food and dry Polyfilla, plaster of Paris or similar - you can stick a water source nearby for good measure.

They get a really good feed ---- 1 last time!

I had mice nest in my old GSThou air box quite a few years ago. Luckily they hadn't done any damage unlike Beamish's bike, they just nested in the void

I only realised they had been there as I had to remove the air box first to gain access the battery so I could charge it.

I remember years ago when i started goin out with my wife ,before we were married ( obviously).
Her mother cleaned all the crumbs etc oot of the toaster,and this wee frazzled mouse/skeleton dropped out , ,i never ate at hers for months after that

Another time,her dad kept chickens,it was late at night, we heard a lot of noise coming from the chicken run, we went outside expecting to see a fox, but no, it was a hedgehog that had a chicken by the throat

Flash gits it was an RD 50 for me, followed by a TZR
