when people use "Aksed" [Axed] instead of asked. popular around the midlands...and my all time fave....SIBLING...god how i hate that word..
and the people that love to use it..[social workers]..in fact im not keen on any convolouted overly articulate use of the vocabulary,per-se when plain english is all that is required.

I hate the word No - spoils everything :(

and the phrase 'bare (bear) with me' I hear too many times a day or 'that's simple' or obviously - if it was the customer wouldn't be calling in for help don't patronise them

For me, it's "All things considered".

In order to do that, you have to know all things, surely?

So omnipotent beings form an orderly queue, the rest of you SHUT UP.

Hi all,

1. "Sustainable". Says who!
2. "Carbon Zero". A marketing ploy to sell more of a product that has
been dressed up differently.
3. "youknow". I don't think so.
4. "Estimate". A wild guess.
5. "Apparently". Is that so.

Cheers

"the whole (insert random reference to any subject) thing"
is a particularly irksome import from our American friends

and only slightly less irritating is Hooray Henry's abbreviation "deffo"

Many of our (NZ) sports people say this when ever they are asked a simple question on TV "Yeah... Nah... at the end of the day..."

WTF is yeah-nah...(yes but no) I get so shamed out from it... the rest of the english speaking world must think they are retarded or something.
