This morning after missing the bus I had to take the storm out to town - thankfully avoiding all the black ice (council has ran out of grit) - tried to fill up with petrol but lock was frozen - almost accidently broke it - but then couldn't start bike as the key was bent. managed to borrow a pair of mole grips to straighten it and some WD40 unfreeze the lock. Afternoon was quite pleasant but the forecast looks grim. Still nice watching the cricket in sunny S Africa and stockedpiled essentials; baccy, bread, mulled wine, brandy etc to get through the next few days.

Roll on the summer...
