New job..The commute...

Post by MacV2 »

So far so good, the new job is a very relaxed regime, go to the address do the job get out in 20 mins or less. No going in lofts unless borded out, no moving white goods, if they are not there post a note through the door & leave it's up to them to re-book. All easy peasy finish at 4pm & off home. ( infact left at three today & was home for 4!) My kind of job!! :D

Anyways as I have to use the bike until they sort out a van for me I have a 40 min blast along the A2, so this morn I had to fill up & there just happens to be a shell garage about 1/2 a mile from the office. Pulls in, fills up, go in to pay. Just commin out the door & this bloke commin in says ''Is that your Firestorm mate?'' Yes I reply,(thinking oh no he's just clipped it or something!) ''Oh man get the CCT's sorted out'' he says '' mine went the other day & I had to scrap it, only got £200 for it, I was gutted, had the bike 4 years I bloody loved it, was told it needed a new engine, couldn't find one for under 700 odd quid, £1000 + to repair blah blah blah'' So I told him I'd fitted converted manuals, no spring no problem. Stranger still was that he knew about the reg/rec mod & had done that but not about the CCT mod. Mentioned VTR.org & he wasn't aware of it. So it would seem that another one has bitten the dust & will end up in a breakers somewhere, shame eh? :(
Making up since 2007, sometimes it's true...Honest...
