Sad news

Post by GaryC »

Hi all,
Having owned a mint (and I mean mint) R plate Firestorm for the last 3 years I'm coming to you with sad news. Having survived a day at the California Superbike School and keeping it shiny side up, it only went & fell over in the van on the way home. NOT HAPPY.
So.. I'm looking for 2 mirrors, a tank, the lower fairing around the seat (both in Red) and a seat. All help and sympathy welcomed

Surely you should be looking for the above, plus a decent ratchet strap set?

I think you were lucky to survive the CSS exercises.

V twins and the "laps in third with no braking" just don't go well together. It causes piston slap and can Snap the piston from the rod.

Don't ever do it was roger ditchfield's advice after collecting at least three VTRs from their school.
No bike (yet).

Fair comment tony.mon but in my defence it was strapped down fine but the side stand slipped off the reinforcing plate under it and the stand went clean through the plywood floor of the van!. Bit of a downer after the CSS day, but hey live n learn eh?

Unlucky, then, no 'fence intended.

Those "grabber" type stands look useful, might have to look into making one up.

Have you ordered your bits yet?
