Workshop area tidy

Post by darkember »

Just a suggestion. How hard would it be to categorize the workshop area into sub categories. IE: Electrics/CCT's/Fueling & Exhaust/Frame & Suspension/Transmission & Final Drive. I am aware that the task to sort all the present posts will be mamouth but doable if enough would be willing to lend a hand me included.

10 posts in almost a year and he wants to rearrange the furniture

To be honest we've only one workshop forum and still folk fail to post workshop related things in it. We've a knowledge base section with lots of common problems and fixes in it but folk don't bother their butt looking in it or searching for an answer and prefer posting the same repetitive questions in any part of the forum that takes their fancy. Giving them another 5 or 6 sections of choice would just be too much for them (apart from having 8 years worth of posts to sort out which I have no intention of doing). I think 1 section for the workshop is more than enough.
Rich.

Agree with Rich, even if you categorised it, people still wouldn't search, but post in capitals in the welcome section.

Go and arrange your garage in alphabetical order; that'll give you something to do
