valve change

hi all does any one have a link to some where that tells me how to change the front valves. thanks

Actually the Haynes manual does ok on this subject.

You will need a long reach valve spring compressor, Halfords have a good strong one for about £45.

And use a magnet on a stick for getting the valve collets out, a greasy screwdriver for putting them back again, the thicker the grease is the better.

Almost all occasions the valve stems are ok, they're quite hard to get out of these heads so you might want to take it to an engine re conditioner if you need to do them.

Just lap the seats in to give a 2.5-3.5mm wide even seat, and reassemble.

Then use the valve clearance info and cam resetting info in the Workshop thread sticky, and DON'T USE HAYNES FOR SETTING THE VALVE TIMING.
It's not falling off, it's an upgrade opportunity.
