brake light
is the little gizmo under the front brake lever the sender for the brake light and should the little bit of plastic be spring loaded? mines not and ive lost the brake light even though theres juice coming of it, rear works fine

If the front brake switch doesn't work the brake light then it's likely to need replacing. If you taken the switch off and it doesn't make a clicking noise due to a broken spring then that confirms that's more likely the problem then any problems in your wiring.

If by any chance you're planning to upgrade to a Brembo or similar master cylinder then you might want to fit an in-line hydraulic switch instead- you can get them built in to a banjo bolt.
That way you won't have to replace it again when you fit the improved MC.
