Mountain Biking - First ride on the New Forest trails

Post by geodude »

Took the bike out for a ride and decided to hit up some trails. Not the fastest ride but its the second time I have ridden a push bike in 3 years.

Do you know what, I really enjoyed it. As I write in the video, I think I am gonna like this :)

Does anyone else on here push pedal in the muddy stuff?

Yes, but not as often as I should.

Down hill always more fun than up hill for me. If god had meant for us to pedal up hills he wouldn't have given us petrol :)

I've been cycling/commuting from early summer on a Giant Escape hybrid - saving a fortune by leaving the gas guzzler at home

Then got a tank of a mountain bike that was a hire bike t'up north that I bomb about on Army exercise land that I live next to- plus if it snows like it has done for two years then I can get about

I'm loving it. Need to get out more though but timing is tricky especially now the clocks have changed. Had to come home at 4:30 coz the light had all but gone.

Anyways, I had a chance to piss about with wheelies. Getting there slowly but surely. Just need to practice and practice.

Check these two out. I wanted to stick sticks in their front wheel but it would have been pointless really!! lol

I almost fell backwards on the one just before donning a hat.

I think most on the tress around here are coniferous hence no leaves. Is that your excuse for not getting out there? :P
