years ago i passed the car theory, then did lessons, then when it was time to do my test I was skint, so thought argghh no worries ill do it next month, then it was the month after, then the month after etc etc

then having sold the Moto-x bike thought wombles it lets do the bike test, so me and all the lads that did moto-x went DAS and got the license in under a week, great times from then on in!

having ridden through some harsh as wombles winters home and been on my butt one to many times on the ice out side work i do need to get a car, i dont realy like them or want one but needs must.

last winter it was so bad one night going home down the motorway in the snow the fastest i could get the bike to go was 40mph, rear wheel was constantly spinning plus i couldn't clear the visor fast enough to see, i couldn't feel the fingers, legs or anything else, trucks were overtaking me and i was drifting around i genuinely thought i was going to die

Question

ideally i want a car with a CD player, a fantastically hot heater, 5 seats, cheep to insure, an MOT and as small non turbo diesel engine as possible for a bag of sand. i dont know a great deal as ive always been a bike nut as a child, is that asking to much?

how at a guess much would it cost to insure too for a 26 year old, decent area, drive way, no convictions, no NCB (other than bikes)

just pick up any old pos m8 as long as its in ticket.
a cars a car at the end of the day if you just intend to use it from a-b

just want the car that's going to be the cheapest to use 50 miles a day, and cheapest to insure

and if it does break down, aint going to cost a fortune

haha i remember years ago my dad had a Peugot 405 Mi16 when they came out, ABS was always going wrong on it and cost a fortune to put right and service

i'm flatline, i've had older mondeos for many years now, very cheap to buy and keep on the road, you will be spoilt for choice in your price range, just find one thats been looked after, mk2 diesel 2000 reg with lowish mileage should do the job..............
