Chaps, as I've mentioned in a recent previous post of mine, I am expecting delivery of my HyperPro front springs set and a replacement rear spring. Now I am happy (thanks to AMcQ and Tony) with the set up and things to look out for with the front springs, but..... for the new rear spring going onto the original shock, can any body recomend anything that should be done to the shock to improve it - can/should I replace the oil in it? Im going for 7.5wt for the front forks, should I use the same for the rear (assuming it is changeable and not 'sealed'). Hopefully you aren't saying/thinking you dumb sod, of course you can/can't change the oil!! Hopefully there isn't such things as a stupid Q!?
Anyway, was hoping to go out today but the rain stopped my play, just got the bike started (she still sounds sweet post partial bafflectomy) - though I would like a pair of carbon blue flames £££££££.
I am also looking forward to BSMs Olive Oil that (I think) he promised me!?
Cars giving me jip - one had all 4 injectors fail on me and the other needs a CV joint gaiter post MOT - bikes are soooo easy compared to that!!!

no, just give it a clean while its off m8. wire wool is good.
You do not have to say anything. But it may harm your defence if you do not mention when posting something which you later rely on in quote. Anything you do say may be ripped to sh*t.
Although you can pay a suspension expert to completely strip and rebuild your shock, most recommend a suitably-sprung aftermarket replacement at much the same cost.
You might want to upgrade to a remote reservoir, to make life easier when taking a pillion or doing a track day.
It's not falling off, it's an upgrade opportunity.
Well it's taken since the NEC (since I ordered a hyper pro front springs kit & rear coil) to get to this position- I've just got my bike back from mobile mechanic after he has fitted all above.
Took chance to do chain & sprockets- +1 and -1 so looking forward to bit more grunt. Also had swing arm pivot rocker/dogbones cleaned & greased as well as head stock bearings lubed.
So I'm looking forward to a tighter ride- just hope I'm happy with the ride- might need some setting up.
Discovered I've got a wee weep on the front cylinder head- get the gasket done over summer.
sounds like you've been busy griff, i take it you couldn't wait any longer for the olive oil to turn up
let us know how the bike feels now, weather permitting of course.
i've done the +1 -1 aswell, but i haven't had the chance to ride it yet, i'm looking forward to it tho.
