Survival build

Post by CB_Phil »

will be slow going as Im rebuilding my crash damaged CB1000 & working on the GFs Fazer too

The plan is a Survival style fighter, but she will evolve over time as any good bike does. So @ the moment I have a
new top yoke to allow me to use any bars I want & have to decide between Renthal 'Road bike' & a set of drag bars, original brake master cylinder & e-Bay levers
a single front lamp & small blacked out screen,
Gators,
for the back end I plan a single seat & cowl that Ill knock up (thanks to Gizmo for sorting me out w/some steel) & a set of GP style pipes by Gizmo
as I said thats just to start &U nodoubt parts & plans will change as I go

Got a bit done after doin a bit on Helens & before I headed over to the auld lads. Just removed the side fairing so I could sit & get some ideas of how to gos bout some of it. Just checked her back together so shes roads legal for heading over to do the front end, as I left all the parts over in the folks house
Will cover the rads in Moto-x style fairing

Will get pics up of what I get in a bit

Each to his/her own, and beauty in the eye of the beholder and all, but if your survival depends on this, been nice knowing you.

Kudos for posting it, though.

Shes not finished, shell be a long going project & ill let her evolve, I suppose itd be more accurate to say Survival fighter perhaps. Ive never been into fairing & always wanted a storm to play around with for such a build & she wouldnt have been the finest example of a storm when I bought her either which made her the perfect storm to go at.

Interesting. Keep at it. Although the second bike looks like its just been stood up after being smashed up.
No bike (yet).
