Hello friends, I'm having a problem with my bike. Couple of years ago I broke the front CCT, piston, valves, etc, and I checked this forum to find a solution. After reading, I bought a couple of Kriegger CCT. Bought it and took to my mechanic because Im unable to install it myself. Surprisingly my mechanic was unable to install it too and then and left a couple of another original tensioners (Original tensioners but with a newer serial number, maybe honda has fixed it? who knows...)
Anyway, when I took my bike back I noticed that now I only can do 80 miles until red light instead of 100 than I used to do. So, what happened? What my mechanic did to my bike? How can I fix it?
And, Do you still recomend me to install the krieggers CCT?
Thanks for your help

Follow the instructions in the workshop knowledge-base to fit your manuals (and no, the 'newer' Honda CCTs will not bring world peace...) I recommend you fit the manual CCts to avoid a repetition of your earlier & costly imploding CCTs http://www.vtr1000.org/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=8326
Goodness knows what the 'mechanic' has done but make sure the airbox/filter is back to how it was and for good measure have the carbs balanced (fitting the Kriegers will be a good time to fit a vacuum take-off connector on the front cylinder - again see article in workshop knowledge-base).

It may be that your whole purpose in life is simply to serve as a warning to others.

Any retard can competently follow the guide by sirch on here and get it done in little time to a good standard,
this i can vouch for as my dad keeps telling me I'm a feckin retard!!
your mechanics pants, try having the carb's sync up? this may be troubling your mpg
