now i think that painted looks fair decent and new again, if you could get a lighter colour of that paint more like titanium or what ever you want realy i guess

My question is can Stainless Steel be painted like this? going to look into it......if so i may sack of buying some Ti's and just get creative with my scorpions or my blueflames, repair the damaged end cap on the BF's and they will be like new giving me a pair to sell on as well and with a bought pop rivit on badge would look the biz!

This is sometimes done because one side can has a dent; cutting it in half means you get two short cans without having to spend any money!
It messes up the tuned length of the system, though, so you'll lose some power.

You should be able to spray stainless, but it should be scuffed up a bit to give the paint a key.
Maybe etched?
It's not falling off, it's an upgrade opportunity.

Not into the shorty's for looks I prefer a 'normal' can just hate the shiny look of S/S looks very dated imo

suppose I could try it on the knackered blue flame first see how it looks, when you say etched do you mean that acid etch stuff I've herd talk of on here with the wheels and that

It's easier using a drill press; you can get more pressure without risk of it skating and marking the surface.

I've worked with stainless quite a bit; if you use the right tools and grind drill bits to suit it's not too bad.
