Top bloke

Popped round to buy some mirrors off him, he then fitted them and then spent the whole evening going over my whole bike for me!
Cheers matey, you're a real gent, your time was much appreciated

But, for the last time, I won't swap my fairing and tank for yours, I'm afraid you're stuck with the Red :( :biggrin

Cheers,

Chris

Was a pleasure Merv. Hope your happy with the new view. Take it easy getting back in to biking. The Storms a good choice, apart from the colour!

Finned R/R, Check. Seat hooks removed to ease seat removal, now check. Choke cable plastic adjuster tightened, check.

Get those pesky CCT's changed ASAP. Check/clean the clutch push rod, mod the gear shift to 90*, keep an eye on the tyre pressures, service those callipers, change the break & clutch fluids, check the date stamp on the tyres & do the shock spacer.

For Gawds sake sort out that bloody throttle grip :Shock1:

Sod the polishing get out & ride it.

Mac

By the way everybody, this Silver Stormer admitted on at least two occasions that Red is the best colour!

I have a corroborated witness to this statement.

Frank the spider who lives in the MacCave heard every word & is willing to stand up in court to testify to the fact.

I've checked the date, it's the 19th, so do I stamp on the tyres first or fit the spacer?

Wait an hour & 6 mins it'll be the 20th then fit the spacer,

Very good.

Except not all Spiders spin webs, some just leap out at their prey.

Like the well known, Redbackbluestorm Hunting spider ( quite rare apparently apart from in Hertfordshire.) 8O

The Kentish (is that spelt correctly!!) Redstorm spider is renowned for chewing it's own legs off, caused by being so depressed at it's colour, thereby making it extremely unstable and slow. This may be the reason for it's drinking issues. No wonder they are considered prey by so many other "Spiders".

Actually thinking about it, there are a few too many ''cleaned/polished/lay on the floor & used a toothbrush to clean my sump, posts appearing on this forum lately.

I'm with Tony on this one, sod the cleaning get out & ride the damm thing.

So with that I wholeheartedly apologise for my initial reply to Mr Mon's fine & witty retort & withdraw my cleaning phobias remarks.

Humbly yours Mac.

I still think he smells of oil tho.

I have no doubt that as a child (not that long ago it would seem) you were the type of person who would happily pull the legs off spiders, remove a fly's wing & burn ants with a magnifying glass. One day when retribution is handed out they will all be waiting for you Kev. All those scorched ant's will be waiting for you in Hell with a giant magnifying glass.

Oh hang on a minuet, I think I've just described my self,I'll see you there then, I'll bring the ant powder you bring the sun block, best make it factor 3000.

Frank the spider has just told me he's not depressed at all.

Nighty night all, I'm off to bed, have work in the morning, lots of mice & things to kill.

Storm tight & don't let the CCT's bite.

Cheers Mac
Although I've grown quite attached to my elbows over the Years, it was nice to see more than just them in the mirrors on the way home. I've even bought the bike in to work today :D
But, I shall be on it at the weekend with rags and toothbrushes to get the last of the dirt off.
I'll also start tackling those jobs

Yes, I did admit that Red was the best colour, and Frank was clearly within hearing distance :(
In this day and age of Gatsos and VASCARS and fecknowswhatelsecars it's definitely better to have a slow Red one. Not sure I could give up the performance by spraying mine though :biggrin
