Have I got this right?

Post by Murv »

When I took my back wheel off, a couple of bits fell out.
I thought I'd got them back in the right way but now I'm not so sure as the wheel is stiff to turn.

The flanged washer thing goes inside the wheel, then the normal washer which butts up against the caliper bracket, is that right?
I've looked at the Ron Ayers microfiche file that someone else posted and it doesn't (from what I can see) show the caliper side.

Sounds like you could do with a Service Manual to go with the Micro Fiches. It apears the link here in the Workshop Knowledge Base is a wild goose chase, dead link now.
Here's a good link http://www.carlsalter.com/honda-service-manuals.asp Just scroll down until you find VTR 1000F 98 -03 and download. Have a look at page 14-0 Rear Wheel and Suspension, nice exploded diagram there.

Have fun
