Good find snoogle. They look really nice, and a clever bit of design. Also they keep the original (more or less) peg position. When looking at marty's they seem a bit high for me which is not good with a dodgy leg.
What brand rearsets are they or where they made with the brackets.
I'd really like to answer your question, but I aint got a scooby where I found the pics lol
I save em off the site onto my phone and thought I'd post it up here when I had chance. I was doing a bit of covert phone surfing when the misses was using the laptop and talking to me about.....erm......something lol
Be nice to get a set and 3D scan them, then get the codes and knock them out on a CNC in India for next to nothing, you'd need to do about 100 sets to make it worth while
Thanks for those links jester, interesting read. So it's just the adapters that are made then any cheap cbr or whatever rearsets can be added. Very innovative design.
I'm sure we could get a 100 people easy enough here. And if we struggle then we could get Mik to liaise with the yanks, as there's probably a few there that would be interested. The hard part is gonna be the CAD drawing's and accurate measurements.
This Thread is getting my brain working. Gonna check the bay now for cbr stuff
I have an alternative design in my head currently; I really should get something made in metal....
It'll replace the original footrest plates entirely, and also act as a swingarm stiffener; extending the frame down to the swingarm pivots.
The plate would be just right for drilling so that early Blade rearsets (which every mnfr has in their range, and are cheap, and easily available secondhand) will bolt straight on.
I'll get me finger out, and buy some metal....
It's not falling off, it's an upgrade opportunity.
I have an A4 sheet of marine grade 4mm Brushed Stainless steel here. Would that be of any use to you Tony. I could dedicate it to the cause if any use.
if i can find some cheap rearsets ill have a bash at that. looks stupidly easy to do. a slight mod to the standard rearsets and then you can buy whatever manufacturers blade (or whatever) ones you like
could probably offer them on an exchange basis too. just got to pull my thumb out of my butt
ideally i want to copy some giles ones from thumperslaw
