Hello mate and welcome to the forum. Has the bike had the modifications to make it reliable? CCT's & Reg/rec.
Have a good read through the forum and you will see why they need attention.

Get your self some manual cam chain tensioners (CCT's) you will hear a lot of rambling about them on here as its the number one killer off storm engines, if they let go the engine is a mess, simple fix with some manuals that can be had for little moneys

Give it a service too, Filter, plugs, oil, oil filter etc best oil (imo) is the Castrol Power 1 10w 30 - semi synthetic not the racing one which is fully synthetic

Have a good read through the forum mate, but the standard auto camchain tensioners cause problems, so you need to either replace them with manual ones or fit a stopper to them. The stopper mod prevents the tensioner retracting fully when the spring breaks and prevents piston/valve connection and damage. The RR on the early models is unfinned and can go pop blowing your battery. The later models rr is finned and seems to fix this or you can fit one from another model.
Spend some time researching through the forum and you will find answers to all these issues.
