Even in the dark it's yellow!
I was feeling a little artistic tonight, so I got the camera out and decided to have a play.

What's up with it? I thought you got it all sorted?bigspanishmarty wrote:mate

If you've sprayed all the wires blue too I'm not going anywhere near it!

I will be out and about at the weekend. The unstable load wants to come out on the back (She's never been a pillion before) so it should be an interesting experience! Hopefully we'll at least make it to High Beach - Unless she's an absolute nightmare and I refuse to take her beyond the first couple of corners!

hahahaha
let me know if you get to high beach, i could meet up for a cuppa, i might be in surrey on sunday tho, as far as the electrics go, i haven't had a chance to sort it yet, it keeps blowing a 10amp fuse, when i press the horn it blows, me and carl found a live wire touching the rear subframe....
oh and the feul warning light isn't connected
the other day near brentwood i stuck in 15ltrs at a cost of £19.90
i litre shy of running out, shakes heads vigorously
carl wants to get at the carbs, i've still got to put the new tank on and properly fit the lowers and hugger, it's begining to get on me tits

High Beach should be Saturday, so you could squeeze that into your schedulebigspanishmarty wrote:hahahaha

I'll test the missus out round a few local corners and decide if she's stable enough for the run. PM me your mobile and I can give you a shout when we set off. You'll probably get there before me - I hate newbie pillions!
Odd the horn blows the fuse. The live feed goes from the fuse box to the bars as soon as you turn the ignition on. When you press the button it just sends the power down from the switch to the horn, a really short cable run. Maybe that one has chafed. It's a light green one.
Other options:
- Something wrong with your horn making it draw too much, try a different horn if you've got one.
- Something else on that fuse circuit taking too much current which makes the horn push it over the limit. Should be fuse D, that feeds the flasher and the brake lights. I guess it is possible the flasher unit has developed a fault. Do you have another laying about? Or unplug the flasher and try the horn with that disconnected.
You pushed the fuel a bit close there! Maybe we should focus on sorting out your reserve light!
With the seat off, the reserve wiring should be the only one coming from the front of the bike on the O/S. The main loom all goes down the N/S. The reserve sensor should come to a 2 pin plug which connects into the loom above the battery box. The wires are Brown/Black and Green/Black. With the ignition on, if you disconnect the plug from the sensor you should be able to short the two pins on the main loom together with a bit of wire and make the warning light come on. If it does then the main loom wiring and clocks are okay, and it's just something wrong with the sensor.

It may be that your whole purpose in life is simply to serve as a warning to others.

Re: Even in the dark it's yellow!
might seem a daft questions but does it still have the original horn on it, if it has an ugraded air horn like Jonesy then you would need a relay in the circuit as they draw too much current compared to standards.bigspanishmarty wrote:hahahaha

Have you got aliens outside that garage, don't let the light in..... and your bike is sick, it looks a bit off colour.
Take it easy with pillion onboard mate. You could always leave the sit cowl on, tell her it wont come off.
