Born again

Post by Skaltar »

Hi,

My names Nick and I'm from the Hull area. I've been out of biking for 14 years and I recently decided it was time to get back into it.
Been searching for a while now, looking for the right bike when I stumbled upon this forum whilst doing my research and after reading some of the topic's decided that a VTR was for me.

I picked this up on Thursday morning and its been big :D ever since. Taking things easy whilst I re-learn how to handle a bike and get the feel of the Firestorm but I have to say I'm loving every mile.
The bike is R reg with just over 7000miles on the clock and having only 2 owners before me. The underslung carbon cans (which I really like) though I'm not sure what type as there is no manufacturers mark (any ideas?)
As with most things at that age there are a few things that need doing but nothing major which hopefully I will be making right over the winter months whilst the weather is bad.
Anyway that's me finished I'm off for a blast.

Welcome along. Be interested to know what pipes etc they are, and how they're mounted.. Kind of would like that for mine one day.

Got a feeling those might be Danmotos.
The clamp's too far forward, they move around a lot at the back, so watch out for link pipes cracking.

Nice clean bike, though.
Gold wheels works well with the red.

By the way, just because it's low mileage doesn't mean that the CCT's won't fail- do your homework and get a solution in.
It's not falling off, it's an upgrade opportunity.
