I know I know its got four cyls.

Got a wee engine thingy for Xmas and decided to share it with you lot, seeing as Im a sad old b8stard.  :q38:

had to put the pistons together

Then attached them all to the crankshaft.

Pistons were then inserted into the block

Sump and a wee stand were attached.

Inlet valves and exhaust valves had springs fitted (lost one and spent about half an hour looking for the b8stard)

Valves fitted into cylinder head.

Rocker arms ready to be attached to the head.

Cylinder head gasket fitted to block

top end and bottom end joined together

Cams fitted to cam shaft

rocker cover added

setting up the timing using a supplied tool.

timing belt and cover fitted

fan and fan belt

Image

distributor fitted and timed to piston 4 tdc

I have thought about getting one of them kits for my lad to practice on but I know I would be the one building it before he even seen it :-)

I like that, very neat. All it needs now is some oil and petrol to give it that authentic smell :biggrin

You're onto something there Carl
All you need to provide is time, two batteries and a little vegetable oil. to get suck, squash, bang, blow....

did you print off your spifflicate of continence? :thumbup:
You do not have to say anything. But it may harm your defence if you do not mention when posting something which you later rely on in quote. Anything you do say may be ripped to sh*t.

Wow a certificate too , I'm onto it Benny cheers. Will wait till I'm back to work to print it on the colour laser printer

The only thing missing off of that animation is the tips of the rotors wearing off at a vast rate of knots!

Well done & not a splodge of swafega in site.

I notice its got a blue tint to it, does this mean that it works in slow motion ?
Making up since 2007, sometimes it's true...Honest...
