stopper mod

HI all going to tackle the stopper mod and this might be a stupid question but how do i work out what length of rod i need ,any help would be great

A micrometer is the what I used, where it has a pointy bit that can go inside and get an exact measurement. Otherwise you will need to come up with another solution like putting a long nail or screw inside and making a score mark on it. Or you could just grind/cut a bit of the 8mm bar or whatever you are using as a stopper, a bit at a time until it fits snug and you can put the roll pin back in the end bit.

I use a cheap digital vernier caliper, but you can use a steel rule if you stick the 8mm bar into the CCT and measure ho much is sticking out.

That's what I mean not Micrometer (just slapping myself around the head ) I always get the names of those two mixed up

Lay in some spare batteries, though, as cold and damp do them in really quickly unless you have a heated garage.
But you can pick up 10 batteries for £4, so just keep a load ready to hand.

i use mine for setting my chain tension and alignment too - gets it bob on

Me too ! My misses bought me mine from aldi.
