RWU Forks

Post by Golgother »

Hey All

I think this may be a common problem.

One fork stanction on my RWU forked 98 storm is pitted, the working area is OK, so usable but looks shite and bugs me.

So do I? ;-
1)Replace the stanction ? Seen new stanctions on the bay for £90ish

2)Replace the forks with good used ones ? Some of you USD conversion peeps must have some RWU's hiding in workshop corners......... :)

3)Get a rechrome.........Not sure who does this or how much it costs

4) Just not look at it........

Cheers
Matt

option 2 (usd) will cost you at least £500 unless you can find a entire front end from a cbr929/954
getting them re-chromed is easy enough, normally the bottom part of the forks get tatty, if this is also a problem, then just rub them down and repaint them.
whilst your at it, some fresh oil is always a good idea....
HEY YOU GUYS!!!!!!
