Mirrors sorted!!!

Post by VTRPiG »

Firstly thank you to Jazzscot for sorting me out with another mirror...hand delivered to the front door with a smile :D

Secondly thanks to bsabloke for the mirror extenders, I can now actually see behind myself without contorting something chronic :D

Hope this works as only my second time posting pictures :eek2

New extenders....

Repositioned my exhausts and made new hangers. Covered the hangers in carbon fibre wrap for now but hopefully paint them saint black at some stage...

Like your bike mate. What link pipes are you using to get the cans at that angle. That the one remaining thing I'd like to do.

Hey leevtr I just used the standard link pipes for the cans on the bike. Just disconnected the link pipes from the foot pegs and twist the pipes to desired angle. On the right pipe though you will need to cut the bracket off that connects to the foot peg. As tony.mon pointed out when I did mine make sure you place the can bracket more central to the can so you reduce any vibration as now it will be the only bracket holding the can on.

Nice clear pics. I think you should leave the hangers with the carbon wrap.

I've got some of that to. My other question is....Those link pipes are considerably longer than my Leo Vince ones....Am I missing something ? If I twisted mine up they would fall short compared to yours.

Wanted to get the upswept look for ages, as I dont rate MOST of the high levels. I honestly didnt think it could be done by just twisting the standard fittings.

The right can is not so bad but the left is more tricky. Loosen your clamps off Lee and have a go. As you twist it to angle up, it also pulls outwards away from the bike. So a little ingenuity is needed.

I'll have a look but if you know anything about me, then you'll know I wont bodge anything. If it aint right, I wont do it. It has to end up looking like its meant, as if factory finished.

only other option lee is to go to flowtech in chadwell heath and see if they can bend your linkpipes for you or get them to make a fresh pair of upswept jobbies, personally my order of exhaust preference is as follows

high level
upswept
single side
normal

i would put underseat near the top of the list but i don't think it suits the storm rear end.....

bsabloke thanks again, and ya won't be going out on it for a wee bit longer    Friggin bloody white stuff

Cyber ark cheers fella would of liked to keep the carbon look but messed up putting it on properly so needs improved

Bigspanishmarty I was hoping you wouldn't of realised

Leevtr I'm not sure about the link pipes as they were the ones on the bike when I got it. I just did as I said and twisted them upwards. Like cyber carol said too the left it a bit tricky and doesn't go as smoothly. I only needed to cut the bracket off the right link pipe by the way as it is the only one that gets in the way.
