A polish www2 pilot was on Richard and Judy the other day and he was asked to recall an event from the war. The polish veteran recalls a patrol one day.
"As i wash flying my shpitfire off de soush coast i shaw these 5 fokkers coming towardsh me. I thought to myshelf i'm gona have theshe fokkers. Ash de dogfight went on there wash fokkers here and fokkers there and fokkers shooting at me and i wash shooting back at theshe fokkkers..."
At this point Richard stops the veteren and says into the camera, " before we continue i should point out to you at home that the fokker was a german war plane" He then sdays to the veteren, " that is right isn't it?" The veteren replies "Yesh but theshe fokkers were meshischmitts!"
