Another proud VTR owner, checking in!

Post by Jamoi »

Hey everyone,

I recently became the proud owner of a 98' Firestorm in Silver, totally standard trim, with 15,000 miles on her. I have to say, i'm well chuffed with it, the rear tyre is square (ordered a pair of Dunlop qualifier 2's), the CCT's are standard/original (so I have ordered new Honda items along with some 8mm solid aluminium rod) thank you so much for all the information that has been uploaded onto this site, i'm no mechanic but (almost) feel like i'm ready to do the tensioner swap myself... I've been lurking around here as a guest for a couple of days ;-)

Would be great to hear from any VTR owners local to me, I have tea/coffee making facilities in my garage and it's always open to fellow riders!

Anyway, that was the longest introduction/hello I've ever seen!

Cheers!

Thank you, I will search the website for R/R's and see what types fit, hopefully an easy job!

I have ordered a pair of standard cct's from D Silver, also some 8mm aluminium rod from eBay which I hope to figure out how to do the stopper mod. :shifty:

Hi Wicky, excellent! That's very local to me, I'm in Alresford. Would be great to have a cuppa, a chat about the VTR and a wee spin somewhere!

Cheers everyone!

Hello and welcome to the forum

I'm not local to you but I go down Colchester way 3-4 times a year so we may cross paths. I might have to get in touch when I take the storm down for the first time
