Yeh, just had a look at that. I doesn't sound like it is a colour match from his description. I have sent him a message to confirm anyway.

I thought there was only one shade of red on the storm, tbh if its new, its going to be brighter than older paintwork, just get out the polish and give ya bike a good going over...
I remember buying seat cowls for a tenner, now they go for silly money...

gelcoat is the stuff they spray over fibreglass so I suspect it's a fibreglass cowl and not original. But I thought that gelocat was a kinda of paint/primer filler that is sprayed on roughly and designed to be rubbed down smooth and painted over.

Gelcoat is a coloured layer added to the mould when fibregalssing so you get a coloured item afterwards. it means it will be 'red'.

hmmm I have a black storm, and I just got a red seat hump that has had some black and white stickers added to it to say VTR on each side and make it match in on a black bike. I wonder what a silver one would look like on a black bike?
