help with adhesive/sealant

Post by agentpineapple »

can anyone advise me on the best product for applying carbon fibre frame protectors?
I don't want to use Velcro pads or 3m sticky pads, i'd prefer a adhesive that can still be removed at a later date if needs be.
suggestions please.....

Something like this will do it.

http://www.halfords.com/webapp/wcs/stor ... yId_255230

I have used a similar 3M product for me bar grips.

WD40 or similar gets it off no probs.

Silicone sealant.

It will hold the protectors on and give a bit of flex and if you want to remove them later on then WD40 can be used to remove the silicone (useful to know if you are re-sealing your bathroom!).

Just don't put as much silicone on as last time and then they will come back off.
